Structural Composition
It consists of a gate frame, gate leaf, slide channel, sealing wedge, and other components. The gate leaf is made of cast iron materials (such as HT250 gray cast iron or ductile iron), with precisely machined surfaces to ensure sealing performance. The slide channels are embedded in the secondary concrete of the gate pier and base slab, evenly transferring water pressure to the main structure.
Working Principle
Driven by a hoist, the gate leaf slides along the slide channels to open or close the orifice. Sliders are installed on the side beams of the gate, moving along embedded tracks to ensure stable operation. Under the combined action of water pressure and the sealing wedge, the gate leaf tightly fits against the slide channels, achieving effective water sealing.
Classification and Applications
Based on shape, it is categorized into PZ flat gates and PGZ arched gates. The PGZ type features a 60-degree central angle design to reduce hydraulic load. Sliding cast iron gates are suitable for hydraulic projects such as rivers, reservoirs, and hydropower stations, as well as urban water supply and drainage, wastewater treatment, and other scenarios.
Materials and Maintenance
Made of highly corrosion-resistant cast iron materials, surface treatment complies with CJ/T3006-92 and DL/T5018-2004 standards. Routine maintenance requires regular inspection of lubrication, anti-corrosion measures, and fastener conditions to ensure sealing gaps are controlled within 0.1mm.
