A pressure relief valve must be installed on the outlet pipeline of the air receiver, with a caliber not less than the diameter of the air outlet pipe. The release pressure should be 1.25 to 1.4 times the working pressure of the air compressor.

This pressure relief valve is used in surface or underground air compressor systems, installed on the air reservoir outlet pipeline directly facing the airflow direction, serving as a safety protection device.

Working Principle:

This pressure relief valve consists of a cylinder, piston assembly, protective cover, etc. The cylinder is formed by welding (or casting) the upper and lower end flanges and the cylinder body. To enhance wear resistance and prevent rust, the cylinder is made of stainless steel. The piston assembly consists of a clamp plate, O-ring seal, piston, pull rod, etc. The piston assembly can be installed from the left end of the cylinder and fixed in place by the clamp plate, preventing left or right movement. The protective cover is formed by welding (or casting) the flange, cylinder, and cover. When the pressure relief valve activates, the protective cover prevents the piston from flying out and causing injury, providing safety protection. This pressure relief valve is installed on the air reservoir outlet pipeline directly facing the airflow direction in the air compressor system. When the system operates normally, the system pressure is ≤0.785 (8kgf/cm2), and the pressure relief valve functions normally under this pressure. If the air reservoir ignites due to carbon buildup or gas pressure surges for any reason, causing a sudden rise in temperature and pressure within the system, when the pressure reaches 1.03±0.049 (10.5±0.5kgf/cm2) (parameters見(jiàn)表三), the pull rod immediately breaks, the pressure relief valve activates, and the high-temperature, high-pressure gas in the air reservoir and pipeline is rapidly released, thereby mitigating shock waves and preventing major accidents.
