Applications of Food-Grade Sodium Hyaluronate:

HA is commonly used in health foods, often combined with ingredients such as collagen, vitamins, chondroitin, and glucosamine. Common dosage forms include tablets, capsules, and oral liquids. On January 7, 2021, the National Health Commission officially announced the approval of sodium hyaluronate (i.e., hyaluronic acid, HA) as a new food ingredient, which can be added to ordinary foods. The usage scope includes: dairy and dairy products (0.2g/kg), beverages (liquid beverages ≤50mL packaging: 2.0g/kg; 51mL-500mL packaging: 0.2g/kg; solid beverages calculated based on the reconstituted liquid volume), alcoholic beverages (1.0g/kg), cocoa products, chocolates and chocolate products (including cocoa butter substitute chocolates and products), and candies (3.0g/kg), frozen beverages (2.0g/kg). It is not suitable for infants, pregnant women, and lactating women. Labels and instructions should indicate unsuitable populations and recommend a daily intake of ≤200mg.
