■Application:
AD-290 is a novel acidic phosphorus extractant with high selectivity for the separation of cobalt and nickel in sulfate and chloride media.
Since the active ingredient of AD-290 is an organic phosphinic acid, metal extraction is achieved through a cation exchange mechanism. In addition to selectively extracting cobalt in the presence of nickel, AD-290 can also extract other metal ions at different solution pH levels. It is fully soluble in both aromatic and aliphatic diluents and exhibits high stability against heat, acids, and bases. AD-290 is not only used for the extraction and separation of nickel and cobalt but is also suitable for the extraction and separation of rare earth elements, gallium (Ga), indium (In), molybdenum (Mo), germanium (Ge), zirconium (Zr), and other metals.
