Maintenance and Care of Sight Glasses
1. Sight glasses are used to observe the flow reaction of media such as liquids, gases, and steam. The viewing window glass should be kept clean and free of dust.
2. The viewing window glass of the sight glass is a fragile component. Handle with care during installation.
3. The temperature and pressure resistance of the sight glass have certain limitations.
Temperature resistance: Tempered borosilicate glass ≤180°C, Quartz glass ≤1000°C.
Pressure resistance: Tempered borosilicate glass plate ≤3.0MPa, Quartz glass plate ≤10.0MPa,
Tempered borosilicate glass cylinder <1.0MPa, Quartz glass cylinder <1.6MPa.
4. The allowable sudden temperature change is <60°C. The glass may crack due to excessive temperature differences. Please pay attention to maintenance.
Manufacturing and inspection standards: Designed, manufactured, and accepted according to the "Chemical Pipeline Handbook" and HG/T21619~21620-86 "Pressure Vessel Sight Glasses".
