Main Features of GJB Certification

1. The competent department of the national defense science, technology, and industry under the State Council and the Equipment Development Department jointly organize the certification of the quality management system for units undertaking the development, production, and maintenance of weapons and equipment, as well as the certification of general parts (components), important components, and raw materials used in weapons and equipment. Units that have not passed the quality management system certification are not allowed to undertake the development, production, or maintenance of weapons and equipment.

The quality of ordinary products affects the interests of the users, while the quality of products provided by private enterprises to the military directly impacts the daily training of the armed forces and may even affect national defense and the modernization of the armed forces. Therefore, only by obtaining the GJB quality management system certification can private enterprises ensure the quality of military products and gain more opportunities to enter the military market.

3. GJB/E 9001A is a military product quality system standard formulated by the former Commission of Science, Technology, and Industry for National Defense. Its content is based on the ISO 9001 standard, with additional requirements specific to military products. 4. Obtaining GJB/E 9001A quality management system certification is one of the necessary conditions for applying for the "Weapons and Equipment Research and Production License." Only after obtaining the "License" can an enterprise qualify to undertake military research and production tasks. 5. It increases risk assessment in product development and introduces strict requirements for product reliability. 6. The requirements in procurement, production, delivery, and testing are stricter than the ISO 9001 standard, ensuring product quality.
