YOUNG Model 81000 Ultrasonic Anemometer

The YOUNG Model 81000 Ultrasonic Anemometer measures horizontal and vertical wind speed and direction. This sensor features a durable, corrosion-resistant construction with three pairs of opposing ultrasonic transducers supported by stainless steel components. Each sensor is wind tunnel tested and calibrated to provide accurate wind measurements. The standard sensor includes RS-232 and RS-485 serial outputs. Wind and sonic temperature are available on four analog voltage outputs. The sensor is mounted on a standard 1-inch IPS pipe. An orientation ring is included, which engages with the sensor base to maintain alignment when the sensor is removed for maintenance. Termination is via miniature clip-on connectors in the junction box at the base of the sensor (no special connectors required).
