Ball valve sealing pair (i.e., the valve seat sealing surface and the ball sealing surface)The material pairing is metal-to-metal for ball valves. The structural forms of ball valves are divided into floating ball type and fixed ball type, with connection forms including flange connection, welding connection, and threaded connection.

The valve seat sealing surface is made of Stellite alloy or other alloy steel, and the ball sealing surface is treated with nitriding, overlay welding alloy, hard chrome plating, vacuum coating—tungsten-titanium alloy and Stellite, etc.; for pipeline transportation involving various operating temperatures and high-friction dust, slurries, and solid foreign matter, it offers high wear resistance and a long service life.

The metal valve seat relies on spring pre-compression for low-pressure sealing, while high-pressure sealing is maintained by the piston effect of the valve seat. Combined with the ball processing technology, this ensures high roundness of the ball and also reduces operating torque.

General soft seal valve seatsare prone to damage in a half-open state, unsuitable for certain fluids, limited temperature range, and restricted applications. In contrast, metal valve seats are suitable for high-temperature fluids, high-friction dust, slurries, media containing impact materials, and solid foreign matter.
