Aliphatic Polyurethane Topcoat

Composition and Properties:

Aliphatic polyurethane topcoat is a two-component air-drying coating composed of an aliphatic isocyanate component and a hydroxyl component made from high-grade acrylic resin, pigments, additives, and solvents.

Properties:

The paint film exhibits excellent wear resistance, toughness, fullness, bright color, resistance to oil, benzene-based solvents, water, seawater, acid, alkali, salt corrosion, and chemical atmospheres, along with good weather resistance.

Technical Indicators: The color and appearance of the paint film conform to the standard sample and allowable color difference range, with a smooth and even finish.

Drying Time: (As temperature increases, the usable time will shorten)

Surface Treatment: The previous coat must be dry and clean.

Mixing Ratio: Component A : Component B = 5:1 (by weight). After opening the packaging of Component A, stir thoroughly, add Component B by weight ratio, mix well again, and use after maturation.

Limitations: Substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point, relative humidity should not exceed 75%, and it should not be applied outdoors below 0°C.

Spray Pressure: 15-20 MPa

Thinner: Polyurethane thinner

Thinning Ratio: 0-5% (by weight of paint)

Air Spray: Nozzle diameter: 2.0-2.5mm

Air Pressure: 0.3-0.4 MPa

Thinning Ratio:

Tools used for application must be clean and dry. Strictly avoid contact with water, acid, alkali, alcohol, etc. during paint mixing and application. Component B reacts easily with water and alcohol. After use, the packaging of Component B must be tightly sealed to prevent curing. Relative humidity during application and curing must not exceed 75%, otherwise, there is a risk of blistering in the paint film.

Tool Cleaning: Polyurethane thinner

Compatible Coatings: Epoxy series primers, intermediate coats; polyurethane series primers, intermediate coats
