Camouflage Coating System

A camouflage coating system using acrylic resin and aliphatic isocyanate curing agent as film-forming substances. Acrylic resin offers excellent color and gloss retention, long-term UV resistance, and strong resistance to salt spray erosion. The paint film is resistant to chalking and fading. Acrylic coatings are used for surface painting on vehicles, buildings, bridges, etc., providing excellent protection and decorative effects, with a protection period of over 5 years.

Coating Steps

Engineering camouflage coating is divided into four steps: surface treatment before spraying, sealing coat spraying, pattern zoning, and spot spraying.

1) Surface Treatment

Based on on-site inspection, the original coating surface shows severe issues such as peeling, chalking, and cracking. Therefore, surface treatment is required during coating repair.

Grind and clean the engineering walls to remove the chalky layer and eliminate adhered dirt, dust, etc.

Grind and remove cracked and peeling coatings on roofs, grounds, and roads, then fill gaps and remove adhered dirt and dust.

Cover areas that do not require coating (e.g., doors, windows).

2) Sealing Coat Spraying

Given that the walls and roads to be coated are in a marine environment, with high requirements for resistance to humidity, heat, and aging, and severe chalking, surface dust removal and sealing treatment are necessary. An epoxy sealing primer is selected for the sealing coat.

Spray epoxy coating to form a sealing layer, improving coating adhesion, impact resistance, expansion, and flexural strength, while also providing anti-mold and acid-alkali resistance.

Apply the coating using spraying or rolling methods, evenly coating the concrete surface without affecting its appearance or properties, facilitating camouflage coating construction.

3) Pattern Outline Sketching

After the sealing coat dries, sketch the outlines of camouflage spots on the engineering surface according to the camouflage design drawing. Coating should be completed according to the types specified in the camouflage construction drawing.

(4) Camouflage Spot Spraying

Spray camouflage spots within the outlined pattern areas, following the process sequence to avoid overlapping adjacent spots. Prioritize spraying small areas with many adjacent spots. Control the coating thickness to 60±10μm, and place a certain number of color inspection samples in some color spots for subsequent coating inspection and acceptance.

3.3 Coating Quality Self-Inspection and Repair

After coating is completed, inspect the spraying effect and quality of each color spot according to the construction drawing. The coating should have uniform gloss, no missed spots, undercutting, bleeding, blistering, wrinkling, etc., and no obvious color difference, sagging, orange peel, whitening, or pinholes. The camouflage pattern should match the design drawing, with clear boundaries between spots and no obvious paint splatter or dust.

Coating Interval: Self-recoating: 1 hour; other coatings: 2-8 hours. Avoid moisture before the coating is fully dry.
